On Christmas Day Baby Megs managed to work up quite a little fever. We talked to her pediatrician and we were told to head to the local ER. Because she is so little they decided to admit her for a couple of days. She was fairly miserable for about 36 hours then started to perk up. We got home this evening and are taking it easy. While Chris and I were at the hospital with Megs Ellie started throwing up at Mimi and Papa's house and I got pink eye. The pediatricians took pity on me and gave me a prescription for eye drops. Here is Baby Megs with an IV in her head...

Here we are in Missouri!
We made the 683 mile drive to big MO. The girls were really good but Chris and I were exhausted.
Here is Ellie giving me the attitude!
Megs and Mimi cooking in the kitchen!
Cousin Alyssa dressed up as an angel for church. She and Ellie were angels in the Christmas Story at Mimi and Papa's church.

ER Trip #2
She ended up getting a few breathing treatments, oral steroids and had a couple of chest x-rays. Her breathing improved and her x-rays looked OK so they sent her home with a rescue inhaler and a few more days of oral steroids.
She was a little freaked out by the experience at first. But, she got to watch two movies and the radiology folks gave her the cutest unicorn stuffed animal. Chris said everyone was fantastic with her. For a while it was so busy that Chris had to hold her in his lap in the hallway for the breathing treatments.
She got fries on the way home from McDonald's and reported that she had a good time with Daddy and the hospital. She finally went to sleep about 12:30 then got me up at 6:45. Needless to say between Ellie and Megs, Mommy and Daddy are super-tired!

Raking and Baking
It was about 80 degrees here today so the family headed outside. There were many many leaves to rake so we all pitched in.
Ellie was a bit warm so she decided to rake without any jeans on.
She helped me pick up leaves and put them in the yard waste container.
Then, she stomped through all of Daddy's piles!
While we were all hard at work Megs did a little tanning. She is a touch jaundice so the doctor told her to, "Eat, grow and tan." Nice life! I wish a doctor would tell me that!
More Sister Lovin'
Ellie is doing really well as a big sister. She enjoys holding Baby Megs and is usually very gentle and calm.
Ellie likes to hold Baby Megs hand. We have Ellie hold Megan's hand in the car if she starts crying.
Ellie also really likes to sing to Megs.
And, she adds her own little hand movements!
The Big Sister being concerned...
And, the Big Sister over holding Baby Megs!

Sister Lovin' and Brownie Mania!
Ellie is starting to relish her big sister role, she loves to hold Baby Megs!
She is also very into kissing her on the head...
And singing to her...
And singing some more!
The brownie batter is always a big hit!
When Ellie asks to help bake it is often only for her clean up role!
But, Mommy will take any help she can get!
