Megs and the Basket

One of Ellie's favorite toys is an old laundry basket. I am not sure where the laundry basket came from, it must have been part of Chris' dowry. Or, maybe it was Uncle Drew's and we somehow ended up with it. Either way, Ellie loves it and is passing that love on to Megs.

Danielle Graduates!

Danielle graduated from high school last weekend. It seems impossible!

Mimi, Papa, Ellie, Megs and I went down to Kingsland to spend a few days with Nanny and Danielle (and Uncle Tony who had to leave for Emily's graduation)

Baby Megs Starts to Eat!

Baby Megs just started real food. These are some shots of her first biter biscuits. She is getting into it. She is now having rice cereal and bananas.

Ellie's School Carnival

In an effort to get more sleep our blog has taken a slight hit. I apologize to our faithful readers (haha) but I am enjoying a little more sleep!

Ellie had her end-of-the-year party last Friday. It was a very fun day complete with jumping houses and a new addition to our family!

Here is Ellie waiting for her turn at the fishing table.

And, here is our new addition. A fish! He is home and swimming around in a vase. He hasn't died yet... Although, Chris did ask me if I was feeding him (he is not a fan of the fish).

Ellie's class came up with a song. I am not sure of all the words but some of it is, "Oh So Sweetgum." Thus, the shirt.

DSC_0059.e1

I am not sure what we were doing, messing around probably.

DSC_0060.e1

More messing around...I think she was dancing!

DSC_0061.e1

Yep, we were definitely dancing.

DSC_0068.e1

Then, Ellie had her first taste of cotton candy. She loved it!

DSC_0074.e1

She had three sticks of it. Yep, that was her dinner!

DSC_0081.e1

Yummy!

DSC_0090.e1

More bubble chasing. They had tons of fun with those bubbles!

DSC_0091.e1

Where did it go??

DSC_0111.e1

Miss Tesha painted Ellie's face like a cat!

DSC_0113.e1

She wasn't to sure about the paint marker.

DSC_0116.e1

And, she would barely sit still!

DSC_0144.e1

It still turned out very cute!

Ellie starts pre-school at the beginning of June. I cannot believe she is going to be three in June. It seems impossible. But, she talks non-stop and loves to copy letters and is a social genius. Wow, it all goes by so fast!

A Fun Friday Night

DSC_0131.e1

Friday night our little family went out to Taco Mac to celebrate the birthday and 3rd step board passing of Dr. Avi (a surgical fellow I work with). We had a really great time. The weather was beautiful and the food was yummy!

Aslyn

Aslyn, Eva's sister. She and Ellie had a great time playing!

After dinner Chris, Ellie, Megs and I went to the Decatur Town Square to walk around and enjoy the beautiful weather.

"Shoulders" are he favorite way to travel.

One of the great things about Decatur is that there is always something fun going on. While we were enjoying Decatur Square we ran upon a swing dance party in the Gazebo. Ellie crashed it, but they all loved her (thank goodness she is so cute!).

The Gazebo may look familiar to some of you...it hosted this event about five years ago...

A Night Out

Chris, Ellie, Megs and I met Amie and her girls, Sienna and Sophia, for dinner last week. We went to the new Tex/Mex restaurant in Decatur. El Tesoro is in an old house. There is a really nice porch that overlooks the fenced in front yard. Us adults sat on the porch sipping Mojitos while the girls played in the front yard. The weather was beautiful and the food was great, we had a fantastic night out!

Do you think this is what he thought things were going to be like when we got married?? He is always surrounded by girls (even the dog), poor guy!
